What is eAadhaar and Why It Matters

In today’s Digital era, identity verification has become faster and more secure, thanks to systems like eaadhaar. The Aadhar Download Card is a unique identity issued by the Government of India to every citizen of the country. It serves as a crucial Proof of Identity (PoI) and is widely accepted for various government requisite processes.
The e-Aadhaar is simply the digitized parivahan version of your Aadhaar ID, available in PDF format. It contains your personal details, including name, address, age and other information stored securely in a centralized database managed by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). From my experience, having a digital version eliminates the stress of carrying a hardcopy everywhere or worrying about it getting misplaced.
